(from bngbirds yahoo group)Bowden Chris<>br This may not seem a typical bird conservation initiative, but this step taken by the state drug controller in Tamilnadu is highly significant (he should be commended!), and is something that we really hope can be replicated more widely by drug authorities across India and South Asia (including Karnataka!). Coimbatore-based Arulagam has played a key role in prompting this and here's hoping others can prompt this step in other states.
(if anyone has good contacts with drug controller or authorities, please consider taking it up?)
